Can I use the storage space for heavy items?

Yes. Our storage beds are built with reinforced internal frames. Unlike some designs where items sit directly on the floor, our beds typically feature a solid internal base. This keeps your belongings protected from dust and ensures the weight is distributed evenly across the floor.

Is it difficult to open an Ottoman storage bed with a mattress on top?

Not at all. We use premium gas-lift pistons that are specifically engineered to do the heavy lifting for you. Once you give the handle a slight pull, the pistons take over and hold the mattress safely in the open position until you are ready to close it.

Are storage beds compatible with all mattress types?

Most storage beds are compatible with standard mattresses. However, for Ottoman models, the weight of the mattress is important. If a mattress is too light, the bed may be difficult to close; if it is exceptionally heavy, you may need high-tension pistons. We can help you match the right piston strength to your preferred mattress.

How do I keep the storage area clean?

Because the storage is tucked away under the mattress, it stays remarkably clean. We recommend a quick wipe-down of the internal base every few months when you rotate your mattress. Our fully upholstered bases also help act as a barrier against household dust.
