Description
Acrocanthosaurus means 'high-spined lizard' and it was a large theropod that lived in the Early Cretaceous period in the USA and Canada.
Acrocanthosaurus was known for its high neural spines on its neck, back, and tail. It is believed the spikes may have formed a low sail or supported muscle and flesh.
